The TSI nephelometer data were corrected for truncation errors using the procedure described by Anderson and Ogren Aerosol Science and Technology, 29, 57-69, 1998. 2. The three-wavelength Particle Soot Absorption Photometer data were corrected for a variety of errors using procedures described by Virkkula et al., Aerosol Science and Technology, 39, 68-83, 2005. 3. Black Carbon mass loading values were calculated from 532 nm Absorption Coefficients using a mass absorption efficiency for soot of 10 m2/g. 4.
