This directory contains images from the 2D-C and 2D-P particle imaging probes that were aboard the DC-8 aircraft during the CAMEX-4 experiment in 2001. The 2D-C has a resolution of 25 microns per pixel, and the 2D-P has a resolution of 100 microns per pixel. One gif image per probe per minute has been generated, which contains one strip of images for each second of flight time. There are usually many more images per second that have not been displayed, which are available on request. Files that contain only blank images are not included in this archive. If no file is available for the time of interest, then there were no particles or the probe was not operating. You can check the status of probe operation at any time in the concentration data files. Unfortunately, images are sporadic or unavailable for flights before September 7. Intrument PI: Andy Heymsfield, heyms1@ncar.ucar.edu Data Contact: Aaron Bansemer, bansemer@ucar.edu
