University of Helsinki Meteorological data at Kumpula. Local standard time is used, EET (UTC+2). Mast: ===== About 200 m SW of the KUM weather radar. All files have the station indicator "Kum" followed by date (YYYYMMDD). Ending of "a" or "b" for temperature and radiation sensor data; Numbers after T tell the height in meters of the temperature sensor, P0 = Photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) downward, P1 = PAR upward (reflected from the ground), S denotes short-wave, and L long-wave radiation. Wind from sonic anemometers "w1", "w2", "w3", and "w4" (4, 8, 16, and 32 m) above local ground. Physicum: ========= About 30 m N from KUM weather radar. CSV-files labeled according to the date. Output of Vaisala MILOS 520 automatic weather station on the roof of Physicum. Includes pressure, temperature, humidity, wind, and radiation sensor data. The more standard radiation values in the "Mast" data should be used. KumYYYYMMDDp.txt have precipitation data of the Ott Pluvio weighing gauge, without wind shield on the roof platform. The original file has the weight of the collector in the unit 0.01 mm of precipitation with 4 minutes interval, and this has been used to calculate intensity "dm", and when positive to sum in the precipitation amount "P". Because of the instrument internal filtering the time of the record is about 4 minutes later than the actual event, only the filtered time series of the instrument is available. Despite the filtering the instrument has a known feature to get false accumulation during clear weather, especially if the difference of consecutive measurements is used and wind is strong.
