GHRC DAAC publishes three GPM-GV MRR datasets

MRR instrument

The Global Hydrology Resource Center Distributed Active Archive Center (GHRC DAAC) published three Micro Rain Radar (MRR) datasets in the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Ground Validation collection.

GPM Ground Validation Micro Rain Radar (MRR) NASA IPHEx

GPM Ground Validation Micro Rain Radar (MRR) NASA IFloodS

GPM Ground Validation Micro Rain Radar (MRR) NASA HyMeX

The MRR is a vertically pointing Doppler radar which provides measurements of vertical velocity, drop size distribution, rainfall rate, attenuation, liquid water content, and reflectivity factor.  These datasets contain observations from MRRs deployed for the Integrated Precipitation and Hydrology Experiment (IPHEx), which took place in western North Carolina during the spring of 2014; the Iowa Flood Study (IFloodS), which took place in eastern Iowa during the spring of 2013; and the HYdrological cycle in Mediterranean EXperiment (HyMeX) in Italy, fall 2012.
