NOAA plans to deploy to Barbados on Friday, August 27 with two P-3s and the G-IV. Initial flights into Earl are planned on Saturday, August 28 at 2000 UTC for one P-3 and 1730 UTC for the G-IV. Sunday flights into Earl are planned at 0800 and 2000 UTC for the P-3s and 1730 UTC for the G-IV. The G-IV could be tasked for a surveillance mission by NHC to fly in Earl on Saturday and/or Sunday if it threatens the Virgin Islands.

NASA has no flights planned for Friday. The DC-8 is on alert for a likely ferry to St. Croix on Saturday to begin two 10-h science flights into Earl on Sunday and Monday, August 29-30, each beginning 1900 UTC. Tuesday August 31 is tentatively planned as a down day, followed by a flight into PGI36 on Wednesday and a Wednesday return. The Global Hawk is on alert to fly into east Pacific Hurricane Frank on Saturday August 28 with a 1300 UTC takeoff.
PREDICT has no flights planned for Friday, August 27. Saturday is to be determined. The next flight is likely to be in PGI36 when it comes within range.
