Outlook for Saturday, 21 May 2011

We have asked the ER-2 for a 1900 Z take off on Saturday, 21 May 2011.   Expect a land surface mission in (temporal) proximity to AQUA satellite overpass, here in Oklahoma.  This will (hopefully) be followed by overflights of developing convection.  UND Citaation on standy by for 21 Z takeoff to coordinate with ER-2 for anvil work.  We are looking into the possibility of coordinating the MAPIR-carrying aircraft with the ER-2 land surface component.  It is not clear at the time of this writing if MAPIR will be ready for a full up mission on Saturday.  They may want a shakedown flight that day instead.  We are looking into this.
