Chance of rain/showers later this morning, early afternoon over northern/western OK. Clouds should be plentiful throughout the day. Then the upper level ridge builds in over the southern plains. Thursday, Friday and through the weekend appear to be mostly clear and dry. Thursday may see a few clouds, mostly upper level cirrus. But the rest of the weekend appears sunny and dry throughout.

Zonal flow aloft with a mid-level shortwave moving through and abundant moisture today. Rain showers likely over northern OK this afternoon, with plentiful clouds. Timing pushed to more early afternoon.

Day 1:

Forecast for Day 1: 

Upper level ridge begins building in. Possible convection over eastern New Mexico, cirrus clouds over the region, while lower and mid levels become much dryer.

Day 2: 
06/03/2011
Forecast for Day 2: 

Should be mostly clear and sunny and dry across the region as the upper level ridge builds in even more.

Extended Outlook: 

The ridge is expected to stay in affect through the end of the weekend.
