The stratiform rain over northern OK has moved out of the area late this morning as the surface low has tracked eastward in to Arkansas. Strong northerly winds have come in behind the front and will continue to clear as the clouds break up later this afternoon. The upper-trough will continue its eastward progression as an upper ridge and high pressure move in over our region later this week.
Later this weekend chances of precipitation increase as a surface front sets up across OK Saturday and an upper level trough digs in over the inter-mountain west. The GFS is leaning towards a late night into early Sunday morning event.
