Instrument Performance:
Both systems performed very well on this mission. PPP was very stable on both systems. R005 didn't drop at all this flight, R006 dropped twice. Now that we have good ppp data we can compare the two drops on R006 with the flight track and aircraft roll data to see if we can find out why it dropped from an aircraft perspective. Reminder - R006's Iridium antenna is mounted on the rear of the left wing pod and has some shading issues, especially if the aircraft was in a left roll. R005's Iridium antenna is on top of the fuselage close to center-line. Larry brought the UPS card and other spares that we asked for. Also an in-line amplifier for GPS and new bulk-head connectors are being FedEx'd. At the next opportunity we will fix the UPS problem in R006 along with replacing the fans. Then add the in-line GPS amplifier to the system GPS cable. At this point R006 should be totally up to snuff.
