Weather Summary

Tropical--TD 10 was upgraded to a tropical storm at 11 am when recon found 57 kt winds in the NE quadrant. As of 5 pm, Humberto is located at 29N 67W with a central pressure of 998 mb and winds are set at 50 kt. It is moving generally in a NW direction at 10 kt. Satellite imagery shows good outflow to the north and a deep convection starting to organize around the center of circulation. The storm is forecasted to intensify to cat 1 status in 24 hours by the NHC. Models suggest a slight intensification and a general NW movement than recurving to the the NE as a vigorous trough exits the US coast in the next 48 hours. Right now the storm is environment where shear is relaxing and the SST's are high, but as it moves more north it will encounter strong westerlies and lower water temps. Elsewhere no development is expected in the next 24 hrs.
JAX--mostly cloudy with late afternoon thunder showers. Winds backed from the S to the N at 5-10 kt throughout the day. High temp of 87.
EYW--mostly clear with some heavy rain reported in the late morning hours. Winds were calm to N at 10-15 kt depending on the time of day. High temp of 88.
