Global Hydrology Resource Center DAAC has just published the GPM-GV OLYMPEX AMPR dataset at http://dx.doi.org/10.5067/GPMGV/OLYMPEX/AMPR/DATA101.

The GPM Ground Validation Advanced Microwave Precipitation Radiometer (AMPR) OLYMPEX dataset was collected by the AMPR instrument flown on the high altitude ER-2 research aircraft from November 9 - December 15, 2015, during the OLYMPEX - Olympic Mountain Experiment field campaign conducted at Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula. AMPR data at the GHRC DAAC include netCDF format data files of brightness temperature and PNG browse files of Quality Control Flags and Brightness Temperatures.

Global Hydrology Resource Center DAAC has published the #SCaMPR #IPHEx dataset. http://dx.doi.org/10.5067/GPMGV/IPHEX/SCAMPR/DATA301

The GPM Ground Validation Self-Calibrating Multivariate Precipitation Retrieval (SCaMPR) IPHEx dataset contains rainfall rate measurements derived using the SCaMPR algorithm to combine #GOES infrared (IR) data and derived parameters as inputs.

LIS VHRC revealing Earth's new lightning hotspot - Lake Maracaibo, VenezuelaThe GHRC DAAC has published a micro article describing "Highlights from Albrecht et. al's 'Where Are the Lightning Hotspots on Earth?’ publication."  This publication in the November 2016 issue of the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society (BAMS) described Dr. Rachel Albrecht’s research with the GHRC’s 16-year data record from the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) Lightning Imaging Sensor (LIS). Albrecht’s resulting data product, the LIS 0.1 Degree Very High Resolution Gridded Lightning Climatology Data Collection, is also available from the GHRC.

Update (10/2/17): Dr. Rachel Albrecht has recently been featured in NASA Earthdata's Data User Profile portion of their website.

Update (10/26/17): Results from Dr. Rachel Albrecht's research were used as a question on the television game show Jeopardy! that aired on Oct. 25th (see pic courtesy of Chris Shultz). The data providing the answer to this question is available at GHRC http://dx.doi.org/10.5067/LIS/LIS/DATA306. See the GHRC Twitter page retweet.
